    The Columbian Theatre

    Watch the documentary, BOOMTOWN USA.  Gain insight into how the Wamego Fireworks spectacular show is put together. Two shows: 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Enjoy a cocktail from the "Backstage Beer & Wine Garden at The Columbian"  from 12-6 pm. Stroll through the theatre and discover its 1893 Chicago World’s Fair artifacts and enjoy art by local artists in the Swogger Gallery.

    RED Parking Shuttle Begins Running

    Wamego High School Football Field

    The Shuttle is free and open to the public to and from the Wamego Recreation Complex from 4-9 p.m. and will provide return service after the fireworks show.  Shuttles will make stops at the top of the parade route prior to 6:00pm for those wishing to attend the Parade.  This drop-off location is NOT a pick-up location.  Pick-up locations are at the recreation complex only.

    Food Court will be open from 4-9 pm in the 500 block of Lincoln, in the Bittmann Mercantile parking lot.

    New this year, the band, Departure ~ who will entertain both before AND after the best fireworks show in the world! Our new featured band is playing in place of our beloved Ft. Riley 1st Infantry Division Band who are serving another mission this year. Thanks, Departure! We can’t wait to groove to the 70’s, 80’s and great music while we Celebrate Freedom in Wamego.

Yes! The #1 ranked fireworks show in Kansas is funded 100% by donors and volunteers so that you can enjoy the show for FREE!

What should I bring?

Radio or personal earbuds from a true FM radio (B104.7 will have the soundtrack for the fireworks starting at 9:50pm), blanket, lawn chairs, water bottle and ear plugs for sensitive ears.
