    We had 6 cameras inside the fence during the 2018 Fireworks show to document the show from the Pyro Crew point of view. You've never seen the show like this. Don't miss your chance to see last year's show from "Behind the Fence". Two shows: 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Enjoy a cocktail from the "Backstage Bar" at The Columbian"  from 12-6 pm. Stroll through the theatre and discover its 1893 Chicago World’s Fair artifacts and enjoy art by local artists in the Swogger Gallery.

    The Fourth of July parade doesn’t kick off until 6:00 PM, but make your way to Main Street early to save your seat. It fills up fast! 

    Insider tip: Arrive early and grab a seat on the West side of the street so you’re in the shade.

    If you’re coming to the Wamego Fourth of July celebration, you can’t miss the parade! 2023 marks 152 years of classic cars, area floats and incredible live music. Plus, who doesn’t like a little free candy? (6:00 PM to 7:00 PM)

    The shuttles will make stops on the parade route to drop passengers for the parade from 3-6 pm.  This is a drop only and NOT a pick-up spot.

    Make your way to the fireworks viewing area to grab a seat and enjoy the pre-show concert. Concessions are still open, so grab a funnel cake or slushie on your way to enjoy! (8:00 PM to 9:30 PM)

    Sit back, relax and enjoy Kansas’ #1 Fireworks show.  Learn all of the details about this one-of-a-kind experience, and also make sure you listen to the live broadcast during the show on B104.7. (10:00 PM to 10:35 PM)

    Avoid the traffic. Check out the post-show entertainment provided by the counrty classic rock band. (10:30 PM to 11:00 PM)

Where is the best place to park?

Free Public Parking is available in marked lots adjacent to the Wamego Recreation Complex and along Balderson Blvd. Side street parking is permitted unless otherwise marked. No parking allowed along shoulders of Highway 24. Remote shuttle parking is located at:

-          Wamego High School Football Field Shuttle Parking-RED SHUTTLE parking (Corner of Highway 24 and Columbian Road)

-          Wamego Middle School Shuttle Parking-GREEN SHUTTLE parking (Physical Address: 1701 Kaw Valley Road, Wamego, KS, 66547)
